Warhammer 40,000: W40K is set in the year 40,000. So this game is a science fiction setting, but in a dark age of technology. Much advancement has been lost and the future of the human race is grim as the gigantic Imperium of mankind is beset on all sides by aggressive expansionist alien races seeking to eradicate or enslave the human race. The worst danger though may come from within as the fell powers of Chaos corrupt the populous of the Imperium into betraying their own. Army choices include but are not limited to: Space Marines (which includes many different chapters), Imperial Guard, Witch Hunters, Grey Knights, Orks, Tyranids, Eldar, Tau Empire, Necrons, Chaos Space Marines, and Chaos Daemons.
